Competition Terms and Conditions

Eligibility
The WAVS Your Backyard to Bissau Photo Contest (“Contest”) is open to individuals who are legal residents of the United States and 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of West African Vocational Schools (WAVS), as well as their immediate family members, may submit photos but are not eligible to win the prize.

How to Enter
Entries will be accepted from Thursday, May 29, 2025, through Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 11:59 PM PT. Eligible participants may enter in one of the following ways:

Online Form: Submit a photo of your favorite part of your garden, backyard, or spring project using the entry form on the WAVS website.

Facebook: Follow WAVS on Facebook and comment on the official contest post with your photo.

Instagram: Follow WAVS on Instagram and post your photo, tagging @wavschools in the caption.

Limit one entry per person. No purchase or donation is necessary to enter or win.

Winner Selection and Notification
One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries. The winner will be notified by Thursday, June 19, 2025, via email (if WAVS has it on file), direct message, or a comment from WAVS on their post/comment.

If the winner entered via Facebook or Instagram, they may be asked to provide a valid email address to claim their prize. If the selected winner does not respond within 5 days, an alternate winner may be selected.

Prize
The winner will receive a $50 Lowe’s e-gift card, delivered via email. The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Use of Submitted Content
By submitting a photo, entrants grant WAVS the right to use their photo, first name, and city/state for promotional purposes, including on the WAVS website, social media, and email communications, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

General Conditions
WAVS reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with these rules or that appear to be fraudulent or inappropriate. WAVS is not responsible for technical issues, lost entries, or platform outages. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or Lowe’s.
