A Season of Growth
Help finish constructing the new WAVS campus in the heart of Guinea-Bissau
WAVS has opened a new, 28-acre campus in the heart of Guinea-Bissau that will eventually be able to train more than 2,000 students each year – all while sharing God’s love through word and deed.
Since 2022, we’ve constructed more than 10,000 square feet of classroom and office buildings, and more than 19,000 square feet of workshop buildings. Today, the campus trains more than 400 students each year in welding, carpentry, computer literacy, and foreign language skills. Soon, it will host additional programs in solar technology and machining.

First Classroom Building
The first building includes two computer labs, a student registration and reception area, and offices for school administrators.
Since the city government does not provide consistent water, sewer and electricity services, WAVS has also constructed a 600-foot-deep well and installed a 19-kilowatt solar panel system to provide water and power to the campus.
Second Classroom Building
When the campus opened in 2022, we saw strong initial enrollment numbers. For this reason, we quickly moved forward with plans to construct a second classroom building to accommodate more students. This building includes 3 large classrooms, men’s and women’s bathrooms, and a large multi-purpose room which can accommodate large classes and events (such as student orientation and graduation).
Small Workshop
WAVS constructed a 3,000 square-foot open-air workshop with repurposed shipping containers. This work space is used for the welding program.
Training Center
A 16,000-square-foot building with training labs for welding and construction, as well as smaller workshops for machining and carpentry. It also includes offices, classrooms and a large bathroom that will serve as the main restroom for all trade-skill students on the campus.
Future Phases
Over the next seven years, WAVS will complete future phases that will include additional classroom buildings, workshops, a small café, guest house, a small hotel and a main “hub” center for the campus.
Once complete, the campus will be able to train more than 2,000 students every year.
